Senior Vice President of Services
Kip oversees EMCOR Services Mesa Energy's 10 office locations and is responsible for HVACR service operations, production, and recruiting departments.
Kip supports the maintenance, repair, automation, and energy needs of client facilities and assures a single line of communication for all multiple-site clients within Mesa's national and regional service divisions.
For Mesa’s offices, he assists in startup, deployment, and operations, helping increase the organization’s footprint and contributing to the "service self-performance" model.
No matter the project, Kip is continuously striving to find ways to improve customer satisfaction, revenue, margins, and the maintenance base for Mesa’s service business—while always maintaining focused goals.
An industry veteran, Kip has been involved in all aspects of the mechanical HVACR service business, including field, dispatch, sales, operations, and finance. He entered the field after completing a five-year apprenticeship with the United Association (UA) in Los Angeles.
Before joining the Mesa team, he advanced through positions of increasing responsibly, including Journeyman, Foreman, and, eventually, Service Manager for Comm Air and Cal Air Inc. Thanks to his 17 years of field experience, Kip has unique perspective—beyond profit and loss statements—that he brings to his leadership role.
Over the course of his career, Kip has developed specialized knowledge of the HVACR industry in each region of California and relationships with local unions across the state, both of which have been beneficial to Mesa’s service business and overall growth.
Kip earned an associate degree from Fullerton College and a bachelor’s degree in education from California State University, Fresno. He holds certified journeyman air conditioning status along with universal EPA and OSHA 10 certifications.
An active participant in the industry, Kip is a member of the board of directors for Mechanical Service Contractors of America and chairman of their education committee.
He is also chairman of UA Local 250’s Joint Journeyman Apprentice Training Trust and a member of the Northern California Oversight Committee.
Kip is married to his childhood sweetheart, and they have three children and one grandchild. In his free time, he enjoys water activities and family trips to the desert.
