Wayne Lacher

Vice President of Retrofit & Project Development South

Value Delivered

Our second longest tenured employee, Wayne has been a key asset in the growth of EMCOR Services Mesa Energy. His leadership has helped the company move into several vertical markets and placed us in an ideal position to pivot into the solar photovoltaics (PV) sector.

Wayne has built a knowledgeable and skilled retrofit team that consists of 18 project managers and five administrative assistants. The team is prepared to implement anything from simple ducting repairs to multi-discipline projects, including turbocor compressor installations, coil replacements, complete central plant retrofits, and much more.

Thanks to Wayne’s focus on efficient work methods, the team has the capability to complete projects in a single weekend with crews working around the clock to assure full operation of HVAC systems on Monday morning, prior to tenant’s arrival.

In all his work, Wayne brings a “think outside the box” approach and an ability to envision projects prior to implementation, which has helped Mesa provide custom solutions that meet or exceed customer needs.

Expertise

Wayne has 36 years of field and management experience and has been a part of our team for three decades. In that time, he has managed an array of projects, including package units, automated controls for large central plants, thermal storage systems, and more.

Wayne began his career working for an HVAC provider in Orange County that specialized in residential and light commercial retrofit work. Since joining Mesa in 1989, he has worked in the field within the retrofit, automation, and service groups throughout California, Arizona, Nevada, and Hawaii.

Wayne graduated from the Universal Technical Institute in Phoenix, AZ. Additionally, he is the Responsible Managing Employee (RME) for our C-46 solar license.

The Personal Side

Wayne is married with a grown stepdaughter and a granddaughter. He spends his leisure time with his wife at the Colorado River, traveling in Baja, and off-road racing in the desert.
