As Vice President of Strategic Operations of EMCOR Services Mesa Energy, John oversees numerous areas that drive continuous improvement across the Mesa Energy footprint of business.

John contributes in all areas of Strategic Planning for Mesa Energy while leading projects designed to improve revenue, profit margins, and expense areas. John works with all the Mesa Energy Leaders to drive improvements across people, processes, and procedures.

His projects have proven to increase customer satisfaction levels, higher efficiencies, and help Mesa maintain its reputation of being the very best Commercial HVAC Contractor and Energy Solution Company. 

Expertise

With over three decades of experience in business leadership across Sales, Operations, Finance and Marketing departments, John has lead leadership teams in Fortune 100 companies, including Coca Cola Enterprises and Private Equity firms.

He has over 10 years of General Management experience from both Trane and Hussmann Commercial HVAC-R Manufacturing companies. John has also been an entrepreneur having owned two of his own companies. 

He spent over ten years of his career performing large scale company turn-arounds. Most notably, John was pivotal in returning five companies to strong profitable standing from financial distress, which helped develop his skills for spotting root cause problems and acting upon strategic opportunities.

He has enjoyed a trail of successes over his business career driving winning results for both companies, and his teams.  

John is a graduate of the University of Southern California holding a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Psychology. He is a licensed General Contractor in California holding a general B license.

He sits on the Board of Directors for The Craneveyor Corporation and hosts a very popular business podcast. John frequents his Alma Mater as a guest speaker at University of Southern California and Cal Poly Pomona schools of business.

The Personal Side

Married for twenty years, John and his wife have 5 grown children and 16 grandchildren. He enjoys his family time and desert recreation including boating, off-roading, and Jeep travel trips.
