Bob guides EMCOR Services Mesa Energy’s immediate and long-term strategic direction. He creates key organizational policies and processes, oversees all company profit centers, manages planning activities, and helps develop innovative and cost-effective ways to meet current and emerging market needs.

During his tenure, Robert has established quality assurance and controls guidelines that helped the company achieve ISO compliance, created award-winning loss control/risk management programs, and added eleven branch offices. Activities like these have enabled the firm to continue providing the advanced technical expertise and high-quality service necessary to meet today's complex business challenges.
 
In all of his efforts, Robert strives to meet clients' end-to-end needs for high-performance mechanical services and efficient, cost-effective energy solutions.

Expertise

Over the course of his career, Bob has built substantial sales, financial, operations, and administrative expertise. He began his career with the certified public accounting (CPA) firms Ernst & Young and Deloitte, where he worked his way up from staff accountant to audit manager.

He then founded his own CPA firm which he grew for nine years before selling it to Corbin & Wertz in 1995. At that time, Bob joined Mesa as Chief Financial Officer. In this position, he was responsible for all financial reporting and administration of what was then a $28 million company with 125 employees.

Since joining the firm, Bob has implemented new technology for the company's software system and office network, negotiated the sale of the company's engineering services division, negotiated and coordinated the firm's move from a non-union to a union contractor, and also negotiated venture capital funding for Fieldcentrix, Inc., a Mesa start-up.

Bob holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from California State University, Long Beach and is a Certified Public Accountant in California. 

An active participant in the industry, Bob formerly sat on the board of directors for the Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA) and acted as the Chairman and a board member for the Mechanical Service Contractors of America (MSCA). 

He is a past President and currently serves on the board of directors for the Air Conditioning Refrigeration Contractors Association/Mechanical Contractors Association (ARCA/MCA) of Southern California and the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Industry Joint Trust Funds of Southern California.

Additionally, Bob was previously the President of the National Exchange Club of Irvine, treasurer of the Child Abuse Prevention Center of Orange County, and President of the Southern California Wrestling Association. 

The Personal Side

Married for thirty-six years, Bob and his wife have two grown children. Bob enjoys golfing (8 handicap), running, and traveling with his family.
